      We did have a wonderful Sunday! We visited a new church this morning which we enjoyed and then had a pretty relaxing day spending time together here at home.

    I’m a planner, Michael. I will even plan out my errands so I have the fewest left turns possible, due to traffic! I totally have plenty of experience when my wife and I have totally different expectations for the day. Communication is key. We find planning the night before (as much as possible) helps so that when the morning comes, there is no guessing as to what will happen. Given we are opposites in many ways – it leads to alot of compromise, however we still have the plan.

      Wow… fewest left turns as possible huh!? That is intense! Shall we say you have a little bit of “C” wiring in you?? hee-he ;)

    Hey I just saw this post and I must say, it is dead on!
    Andrew and I have been learning through this right now. We both can have our expectiations on things and if not communicated, we end up working towards opposite goals and inwardly getting frustrated when the other one seems to keep doing the opposite! So a little up front communication has gotten us a long way! I think we are still learning to plan our time out – still learning to have an “active approach” as you call it. We often have to figure out the balance between enjoying relaxing time together and working at projects and getting alot done.
    Oh marriage, it is a beautiful thing! :)
