What’s Your Favorite Quote?

One of the things I enjoy about browsing my twitter feed is all the great quotes tweeted by those whom I follow.

There’s something great about a short thought or phrase carefully constructed in the form of a quote. It can be so powerful.

Many times, Claudia and I will jot down ones we like on our idea board or on a post-it note and stick it around the house somewhere or in the car.

One of my favorites is the short quote by Virgil, ”Fortune favors the bold.”

It reminds me to step beyond playing it safe and get out there and get in the game.

What’s a quote you love? Maybe it’s one you have on your bathroom mirror or in the signature of your email. Is it a classic Ziglar quote or from King Solomon?

Question: What’s your favorite quote?

Michael I do the same thing!  I LOVE saving the ones that really speak to me and reminding myself of their truth – there are so many I truly love (I have PAGES!) – but the most recent is this:   From a favorite of mine, Zig Ziglar:

Look back in forgiveness, forward in hope, down in
    compassion, and up with gratitude.

That’s a great one! Thanks, Ann.

  • John Cole

    I have a couple:
“What most people think of as luck is really just hard work.” Pa Ingalls
“By working faithfully 8 hours a day you will eventually get to be a boss and work 12 hours a day.” Robert Frost

John, that Robert Frost one is good. Yeah, you’ll be getting more money, but spending less time with your family.

     Here’s my favorite:
“To each there comes in their lifetime a special
moment when they are figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered the
chance to do a very special thing, unique to them and fitted to their
talents. What a tragedy if that moment finds them unprepared or
unqualified for that which could have been their finest hour.”- Winston Churchill

I get chills every time I read it.  If that’s not motivation to figure out my purpose, I don’t know what is.

Wow, that’s a great one, Raun! I wasn’t familiar with it. Yeah, that’s motivation, for sure.

“Drugs are poisons, with occasional beneficial side effects.” -Yes, I am a Pharmacist

You have TWO ears and ONE mouth for a numerical reason. Listen more than you speak.

My favorite quotes are always ‘the one I heard yesterday’. I can’t seem to pick a favorite.

Here’s one my wife sent me yesterday.

  • Cory Georgeson

One of my favorites and how I want to live my life! -

“What you leave behind is not what is engraved in
